About me

Hi, I’m Katie. I am a former special education teacher, administrator, educational consultant, and passionate advocate for children and families. Over the years, I have worked both inside schools and alongside districts helping educators, administrators, and families implement special education programs and supports that help children succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

My background includes years of experience working with special education systems, families, supporting school teams, and navigating state and federal special education policies and requirements. Through that work, I gained not only a deep understanding of the educational system, but also a deep appreciation for how emotional and overwhelming it can feel for families trying to advocate for their children.

As a mother myself, this work is incredibly personal to me. I know what it feels like to worry about your child, question whether you are making the right decisions, and want nothing more than for them to feel happy, supported, and understood. I truly believe parents should never feel alone or intimidated when navigating their child’s education or development.

My goal is to provide families with guidance that is not only knowledgeable and practical, but also compassionate and reassuring. I want parents to leave conversations feeling more confident, more informed, and more hopeful about the path ahead.

Above all, I believe every child deserves to be seen for who they are, supported in their unique needs, and given the opportunity to thrive.
